When breast cancer survivor Elma Courtenay found a lump in her breast, she immediately called her primary care doctor. She was soon diagnosed with advanced stage III breast cancer. Rather than travel to a hospital more than 30 miles away for treatment, she was able to complete her treatment, which included chemotherapy and radiation at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland, which is closer to her home.
