I didn't know this 1932 tune when I found the sheet music last month in a cardboard box in rural New Jersey (along with about 20 other great finds), but its another jazz age standard that's been largely forgotten. Music by Jerry Levinson, lyrics by Marty Symes and Al J Neiburg, this one falls firmly into the "sentimental songs about the old south" genre of tin-pan alley fantasies. Played on a Gibson UB1 which I remembered to tune this time...
