If you're wanting to get a massage while pregnant it would best if first consult with your OB provider. Because there is varying opinions on the topic and they can decide if depending on your situations if it would be a good idea or not. A lot of massage therapists also have contradictory theories about it. Um... some field that having a massage during the first trimester puts you at great risk of having a miscarriage. But miscarriages are more likely to happen during the first trimester. So it's not necessary, a necessarily a correlation between the two. But most doctors and massage therapist feel like they don't' want to do it just because if there is any chance you increase your risk it should be avoided. It should also be avoided in cases where you have an abruption or pre-term labor. So again it would just be best to talk to your doctor and they can tell you what their take is on it. If you have any other questions for me feel free to ask them on our Facebook page and recommend us to your friends and family too.
