Chehon was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Sydney, Australia and Zurich, Switzerland. He began Ballet at age 13 and when he was 14 he was offered a spot to train at The Royal Ballet School, London. Whilst still a student he received many prestigious dance and choreographic awards, including the Grand Prix at the American Dance Competition and the 'Ursula Moreton Choreographic Award'. Upon graduating from the RBS, Chehon joined the Los Angeles Ballet in 2009 where he performed many principal roles. In 2011 Twyla Tharp offered Chehon a spot in her award winning Broadway Show 'Come Fly Away', where Chehon performed the leading roles as the youngest company member, earning rave reviews for his role as 'Hank'. Chehon put a hold on his dancing career in 2012, to audition for So You Think You Can Dance. His eagerness to grow as an artist and expand his horizon, was what propelled him. Chehon won over the hearts of America and went on to be named the Winner of SYTYCD. Chehon recently completed the SYTYCD Top10 National Tour and now lives in LA where he is hoping to start a acting and choreographic career.
