This is the Official World Record for NES Tetris. This was achieved on April 19, 2009 and was verified by Twin Galaxies on May 1, 2009. This was played by Twin Galaxies rules meaning no cheats or glitches were used whatsoever. This run was played on an NES console and recorded with a VCR. Thanks for viewing.

Q: There is no Tetris "flash" after level 18. What's up with that?

A: It is most likely due to frame loss during the video capturing process.

Q: How did you start on level 18?

A: On the level select screen, if you hold the "A" button and press the "Start" button, you will jump 10 levels depending on which level you chose.

Q: Why did the score stop at 999,999?

A: 999,999 is the highest score possible on this game. It does not roll over or go past 999,999.

Q: Why did you stop on level 29?

A: Once level 29 is reached, it is humanly impossible to effectively maneuver the pieces. The game was meant to end at level 29.
