Mothman is an entity observed in Point Pleasant West Virginia in the late 1960's. It appeared as a giant "man" with moth-like wings and had no head or a head that was tucked down into the body like a bird will do. It also had glowing red eyes. Many will be familiar with the story from the movie with Richard Gere "The Mothman Prophecies". That movie is good entertainment but is not entirely accurate and in fact may have caused some people to be misinformed. In that movie mothman was kind of combined with another character seen in West Virginia in 1966. The other character was Indrid Cold, an "alien" who met and talked telepathically with a man outside of Parkersburg. The two "entities" were separate in time and place but in the movie they were combined which causes some to be misinformed.
