A composition by the legendary pianist David Burge, one of the real pioneers in bringing forth the best of piano music in the second half of the XX c. He happens to be, also, an excellent composer. This was the fourth number in the concert on May 2nd 2005, marking the 20th anniversary of Einar Røttingen and myself as a duo.
Movements: I - Moderato flessibile II - Adagio mesto III - Allegretto giocoso
(NB - this video has been available on YouTube earlier, in three parts and with much poorer audio. Strangely, there were some seven seconds missing from the audio recording of the event. That explains the bizarre sounds in the second movement between 09:19 and 09:26, which I had to take from the much inferior video sound. My apologies for this)
