Today, with the ease of access to digital photography within many platforms, artists have unprecedented access to a never ending supply of all types of images great and small. They can capture, clone and manipulate imagery as far as their software and computer memory will take them. Stories can be personal, spiritual, political, ironic, real or invented, bringing to light something that conveys a moment or experience. Complete stories can be squeezed into a single image that implies something that has already happened or is about to take place, or a narrative can emerge in the broader sense, which puts forth a tall tale that the viewer is asked to complete or an open-ended concept or message leaving us with more questions than answers.

This exhibition of 47 works by artists selected for Atlanta Celebrates Photography at the B Complex Gallery, curated by Anita Arliss and D. Dominick Lombardi, will show how photography has been freed from its own constraints, as more and more creative possibilities move artists freely and seamlessly through various options of media, methods and making.
