13th music video. Yes, I'm not dead. Just busy. hahaha.
This is a little different from my usual work. This was more of an experiment with effects and animation so this aint my best. I apologize for the cheesiness of this piece.
I try to explore different themes with these music videos. For this one, I tried to go for something odd: chaste romance. The kind of romance and love that Disney sings about. People think all gay men want is sex. Thats great and all but they want romance just as much as anyone else. As such, I decided to use clips that were more intimate as opposed to erotic.
I chose this song for several reasons. One, its gender neutral. Two, I wanted to emphasize how important the night life is for gay guys. They cannot openly display their affections in the daytime. But at night, the world changes. The scrutiny of society starts nodding off to sleep and gay guys are granted some measure of freedom. Not just freedom to be themselves but the freedom to show their affections for someone.
