another uber-ups masters league ladder TvZ starcraft game, i've been leaning toward earlier 3rd... i used to pretty consistantly go for my third around 15 minutes, right when 2/2 is done, because as you secure your third, you can defend it with a good marine/medivac spread, and a lot of the time the zerg will come suicide into you, which is awesome... but the reason i've migrated toward an earlier third, is that if you wait til 15 minutes, the zerg tends to put creep tumors under your obvious 3rd locations, and that makes me a sad sad panda :(
The up side of the early third, is that it provokes an earlier army-commitment from the zerg, it avoids creep-blocking, and later on when you are ready to commit, you dont have a 3rd to worry about... The down sides is that often the zerg will hit you as you set up your third, and now you are fighting without 2/2 being finished or your 7rax being matured... So it's got it's pro's and cons, but i've enjoyed it for the past several games.
