A few 'debunker' smartypants have talked about including the 'spire' of remaining columns in their calculation of the tower's collapse time. So logically, if the 'spire' had remained standing for say, 20 minutes, or an hour, or a week, or a year.. then we would have to conclude that the tower's total collapse time would be extended to those time periods too. Clearly absurd. And NIST disagrees with these smartypants debunkers, because they didn't clock the collapse at over 30 seconds to include the 'spire'.

Debunkers also like to make a big show of the fact that the towers didn't collapse (disintegrate) at free fall speeds. As if the collapses could ONLY be demolitions if they did. But free fall is not a guaranteed expectation of a demolition. Not all acknowledged demolitions collapse at free fall. But what the towers did do was fall VERY quickly and do so through the path of most resistance. Amazing that these towers dropped so fast without the use of explosives!
