Hiking in Yosemite is a special treat! There is always a new trail to explore. Wawona is no exception. Hiking is king here, too. Chilnualna falls is a series of cascades and waterfalls The trailhead to the upper falls is a 4.1 mile trek each way. Located in the eastern end of Wawona, this Yosemite National Park trail is also a horse trail too - rare trail indeed..The trailhead elevation is approximately 4,000 feet (1,200 m), and the trail reaches the main portion of the waterfall at 6,200 feet (1,900 m). It's at the very end of Chilnualna Falls Road and there are plenty of signs directing you towards the start.
