Yes, I listened to this song also OVER_9000 times during "The Catastrophe" - my adverse drug reaction - back in January 1997. It had a mindshare with Little Feat's "Hoy-Hoy!" ...
Over and over, I listened to this song on my CD player - it follows "Simply Irresistible", right? ... over, and over, and over... that sounds kind of dumb, doesn't it?
In my defense: I was floored physically by the combined effects of Prozac and Trazodone... and Trazodone's byproduct, the anxiogenic hallucinogen mCPP, was doing a major job on my head, bringing the scary realities of my "situation" home at last to roost there.
... you see, I'd just picked up this CD because I noticed it for cheap when I went out to buy Little Feat's "Hoy-Hoy", mostly for "Simply Irresistible"... and then... there's this.
Really, it's what The Plot is all about. You think I'm shallow, or cheap? Or just another fraudulent trans/poser?
Sorry, but no, this is not a pose: it's a posture, and assuming otherwise, and believing I'm fit for abuse... or punishment?
IT'S A TRAP — "STYLE KILLS"
... "knock 'em dead."
REAL/Y - Bonze-Anne Rose-Blayk
PS: Susan once told me... "You know, I'd like to take these photos and make a montage of them someday..."
Well, sometimes you have to just do it yourself... though I didn't use any of those photos, which are mostly in the same vein: my newer photos are a lot better, since they're a lot higher quality than the Polaroids I had. ;-)
PPS: Thanks to Robert Palmer for dropping this track... it's always reassuring to me to know that there are musicians out there who are heavier than I. Robert Palmer... RIP.
