T/Sgt John Weick, 134th Infantry Regiment - Interview Part 4, Germany

In this 4-part interview John E. "Gene" Weick describes his experiences while serving with the 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division, in France and Germany during WWII. T/Sgt Weick was awarded both a Silver and a Bronze Star Medal for heroic action. He was also awarded a Purple Heart Medal for wounds received in Normandy during the battle for St. Lo, France. In these videos he discusses his experience with his son, Steve Weick.

Part 4 - Germany
• TSgt Cecil G. Eckley (37144812) was the Platoon Sgt of the 1st Platoon.
• On July 4th TSgt Cecil G. Eckley was a Pfc in the 1st Platoon, 2nd Squad.
• 1st Lt. George Melochick took over as Company Commander around December 18th . was promoted to Captain around January 15, 1945.
• TSgt Norberto B. Noriega (38071510) was the 2nd Platoon Sgt wounded.
• TSgt Weick was assigned at Platoon Sgt of the 2nd Platoon around January 31, 1945.
• Sgt. Johnnie C. Harris (14084343) was the young Squad leader that lost his leg in the minefield on February 26, 1945.
• TSgt Cecil G. Eckley (37144812) was listed as being sent home to the US between January 31st and February 18th . Listed as being in US on the February 18th roster.
