In the midst of a vigorous applause for the well-revered professor, shouts of "Get the fuck out!" and "Both the hammer, and the sickle for the red horde" - outcries popular with the polish ultra-right - were heard. "No nationalistic mob will be tolerated in my city" - responded the president of Wrocław, Rafał Dutkiewicz, who was present at the event. However, it wasn't until the police squadron - including an armed anti-terrorist group - surrounded the back rows, where a mix of nationalists and football hooligans gathered, that the group was effectively asked to leave and escorted from the auditorium. Ten of the most aggressive protesters were arrested. Without further disturbances, lecture lasted until late in the afternoon.
