EMS Week is celebrated nationally each May by the American College of Emergency Physicians. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Called to Care”.
Pinellas County marks the 27th Annual Award for the Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic of the Year and the 5th Annual Award for the Emergency Medical Dispatch Professional of the Year. These men and women best embody the theme of EMS Week 2016. They are EMS Strong. Emergency Medical Dispatcher Eric Fayad, Emergency Medical Technician Nick Eberhardt and Paramedic Chris Collins were all honored at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners on May 10, 2016. This video introduces these emergency medical professionals and recognizes their award-winning efforts.
