Nataline Sarkisyan, a 17 year old girl, was denied a liver transplant by Cigna under the claim that the surgery was 'experimental.' Due to massive pressure and negative publicity, Cigna agreed to cover the surgery in the 11th hour, but it was too late for Nataline. Because of existing laws that favor for-profit health care corporations over patient's rights, Cigna remains unaccountable for their deadly delay tactics that cost Nataline her life.
