With more than 130,000 individuals reached annually through visitation, educational programs, and outreach, the East Tennessee History Center is working hard to promote, interpret, and preserve the history and culture found in East Tennessee's 35 counties. The feature exhibition, "Voices of the Land: The People of East Tennessee," housed in the history center, is an award-winning, dynamic artifact-based exploration of East Tennessee history, beginning with the Cherokee and concluding with the 1982 World's Fair. This exhibition, combined with the programs and research facilities also housed in the center, provide a unique visitor experience that will allow you to find your East Tennessee story!
