A plot of the frequency response (displacement versus frequency) of a driven, damped mass-spring oscillator is often broken up into three regions, in terms of what happens to the response curve when one of three properties of the system changes. The three regions are called "damping-controlled", "stiffness-controlled" and "mass-controlled", and this video attempts to explain why.
