I just had to share this with the class. Using my SiriProxy software (https://github.com/plamoni/SiriProxy), I just made a plugin that hooks Siri into an ELIZA webservice. If you're not familiar with ELIZA, read this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA

Basically, ELIZA was created in the 60's as a kind of "deliberately bad" computer therapist. It represents the best of 45 year old computer programming. :-) (just kidding).

I took it and hooked it up to Siri's voice recognition and got a solid replacement for a $100/hour psychologist*!

You should check it out. It's pretty entertaining.

*This statement has not been evaluated by the FDA. Don't replace your psychologist with my computer program.
