Widely supported referendums banning the cultivation of genetically engineered crops passed in two Oregon counties Tuesday. Although over $1 million was spent by outside groups, including Monsanto, to try and defeat the measures, Jackson and Josephine Counties voted 66 and 58 percent in favor respectively.
