Spotlight is a new series produced by Western Illinois University Television and hosted by Beth Seaton, director of the Office of Sponsored Projects at WIU.

This episode follows Professors Gloria Delany-Barmann and Carla Paciotto from the education and interdisciplinary studies department. These faculty members have received in excess of $1 million from the U.S. Department of Education for their work in English as a second language and bilingual certification.

In the program, Delany-Barmann and Paciotto are interviewed in their classrooms at Western. The program also takes viewers to Beardstown to talk to some of the students, parents, and teachers who have benefited from Delany-Barmann's and Paciotto's work.
