Just because Randy didn't serve in the military or wasn't a fire fighter etc. doesn't mean he wasn't a hero to us. He was and is a guitar hero. And like others said he wasn't a drug addict or drubk, he had no children so he had no dependents. He was a great man in more than one way. Why can't you just let the people that loved him and enjoyed and appreciated him do that without being a prick?

They said 'guitar hero' you dipshit, not 'hero'. I can see your point with sports figures being called 'heroes' because that's really stupid... but calling someone a 'guitar hero' is not the same thing. Two completely different things. Talk about an asinine comment!

Great. That makes him an entertainer, artist, musician and, hopefully, someone who paid his way and provided for any dependents. Does that make him a hero? Nope.

Reality did the pissing. It tinkled into the brekkie bowl of the Cult of Personality. (Oh, in an awesomely heroic kinda way.)

People who really ARE heroes - who actually DO heroic things - deserve better than for people like you to bestow the term 'hero' on guitar players, sports players, etc. (sigh....)
