+Teubees DeBunker there are too many dislikes not because shes not good, but because John Lennon's fans didn't want Gaga to sing it. However I dont get why are you talking about ears and brain while you have a katy perry icon. Sorry not sorry.

I really really hate pop music... But this girl is the best example for a good performer...

She was singing this song in loving memory of Matthew Sheppard, a young HUMAN BEING that was brutally murdered just for being gay. Please, quit the ''How she dares performance this song?'' bullshit, cause this song is so much bigger and meaningful than just ''that awesome John Lennon song''. This song is the 8th Wonder of The World, it's public property, just like John said in the song ''Imagine no possessions'', so please stop trying to make this song about John, when it's not, neither is about Gaga. This song is about love, Matthew Sheppard, and many other victims of the hate and cruelty that the world is facing for a long time now. Thank you.

+X Moore No he was murdered taken out into a field and beaten so badly he died in the hospital 2 days later. He died october 12th 1998. Even though I never knew him and I was just a child I will forever remember what that day means.
X Moore
+Ninguém Me Segura I thought he committed suicide.

Imagine there's no haters hating everyone who sings this song in a way other than their own notion of perfection.  Imagine there's not self appointed critics.  Imagine people listen to the message more than how it is delivered.  Imagine what John would say.

Was she playing on Lennon's piano no less, or was it a replica? I know she's friends with Yoko Ono, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the real deal. Either way, I'm sure John would've been honored to have such a talented musician and icon play his song on his piano. :)

Very easy to answer. John Lennon had a Steinway & Sons Piano, She's playing on a Kawai on this video.

+GengarLyrics I prefer her acoustic piano performs to her electronic dance-pop tracks. Both are good, but her live, raw, lounge-singer-esque performances are clearly superior.  She certainly has my respect as one of the world's best performers and musicians.

The song is about peace. Do you people really think John Lennon would be mad if someone else sang it? No. He'd probably be honored.

+Miranda Phelan (Beaniegurlz) I second that!

This literally made me cry. Lady Gaga is my favorite music artist and "Imagine" just happens to be one of my favorite songs of all time. She sang it beautifully and I love her so much, so much, oh, so much.

She is so amazing.  I pulled off 'Edge of Glory' at a karaoke night, once, and it felt beautiful.  I taught the infant daughter of some of my dearest friends (the girl's name is Athena) to dance to that song before she was even a year old.  That little girl still smiles and runs up to me whenever she sees me, and I think Gaga deserves some of the credit for that.
Lukey Gaga
It's so crazy now to watch her perform this song in 2009 and then see her perform it again today in 2015. Wow her voice has evolved so much and she has become an outstanding performer. If your really going to comment that she can't sing go watch a recent performance like her at the Oscars this year and you'll see she can outsing any of today's lip syncing pop stars
