The Airliner Meeting in Nellingen, Airfield Oppingen presented many different Models of Scale passenger planes. This RC model of a DC-3 - C 47 military version - in German Air-force colours had been constructed by Hans Jenkewitz nearly 20 Years ago. The supplier for the pre-moulded kit was Andreas Gietz who wom the Quarter Scale Meeting in Las Vegas with a larger version of this plane. The DC-3 flying has about 3.2 meter (11 ft ) wingspan and 11 kg (24 pounds) weight. This is small in comparison to the Jet Turbine powered RC Model Airliners flying that weekend. The power is supplied by 2 x OS 70 4-stroke Methanol engines, the RC equipment is 2.4 GHz type. Enjoy!
