Healthy stress/deadly stress: Know the difference
Living in the constant stress of America today can cause detrimental effects on the body. Living in this 'sympathetic dominant' fight or flight state for prolonged periods has been shown to cause systemic inflammation, tax your adrenal glands as well as effect your thyroid function.
Healthy stress involves pushing yourself mentally and physically. Go for a walk if you usually a "couch potato". Start taking a class on a topic you enjoy to literally form new neuronal connections in the brain.
