This documentary tells the story of 100 Forum Theatre activists from across Nepal gathering in a village in Jhapa, Eastern Nepal. Their mission is to share experiences with each other, and to explore novel ways of using theatre as a tool for social transformation. It shows their mutual learning, the contests of ideas, the actual theatrical performances, and just about everything in between. This apart, the documentary also chronicles a real-life story that happened within these days and depicts how Forum Theatre actually works to transform conflict.
The Kachahari Camp was organized by the ZFD peace facilitator Anne Dirnstorfer working at Nepal German Friendship Association (NeGFA). The goal was to strengthen the Nepali Forum Theatre artists and to create a national network between them. The documentary was produced in order to support the groups and also in order to raise awareness on the Forum Theatre approach as a tool for conflict transformation.
