Environmental change in southern Madagascar is pushing people even closer to the margins of survival. This participatory film made by the Antandroy community of Bema, Faux Cap gives an insight into their experiences of rural poverty and the coping strategies they have developed.Advancing sand dunes have been burying houses and schools in the Androy region since the 1950s. This Antandroy community explains how they plant sisal vegetation and vines to slow and stabilise the creeping dunes.
