My 2014 winter project began with a Mauser 98 action, .312 barrel blank, chunks of aluminum and a lot of time. The rifle is chambered in 7.62x54r and features an aluminum stock complete with an AR grip an adjustable shock absorber in the butt (which I was constantly messing with throughout the video trying to find the best setting for me). You'll see the recoil variation yourself. I kind of messed up in the front rest placement because the bipod mount was catching on the front side and rocking the rifle out of position for follow ups, but I didn't notice it that much in real time because I had to keep rushing to shut off the cameras. This was it's first day shooting, eventually I'll get it tamed.
Video was shot with a JVC Quad Proof camcorder and a Casio EX-F1 camera for slow motion video.
