The current TVO (TV Ontario) was originally OECA (the Ontario Educational Communications Authority). And its early 1970s logo will put the fear of god into you. Really. The "Big V of Doom" is child's play compared to this one.

Which sadist dreamed up this combination of a computer-animated (Scanimate), multi-layered, eye-like symbol accompanied by weird echoey synthesizer tones for the station ID? Didn't they realize that most of their viewers were CHILDREN???

This is the multicoloured version of the ident, taken from a 1975 episode of "Readalong". (Thanks, Rick, for supplying it to me!)
