1) measure the amount and quality of directedness actually delivered to every employee and group--you find NO leading is going on AT ALL in nearly ALL big organizations = it is so easy to BEAT big corporations they are entirely un-led
2) measure the social indexing level present and move it for 3% average for big orgs to the 7% average of boy scout troops and the 22% average of high performing sport and venture teams
3) investigate alternative means of delivering the 64 basic leadership functions--present means--fixed inventory of a special social class called "managers" like all fixed inventory systems simultaneously overshoot (too much managing goes on) and undershoots (too little managing goes on)--replace fixed inventory manager deliver means with managing by events and by rescue squads
4) manage self-managing creatives---the requires an entirely more indirect approach and skill set than most males have--namely, tuning the interactions of populations of intelligent agents: tuning the connectedness, diversity, patchings of their interactions.
5) meta-managing: managing managers---this is taught everywhere and taught wrongly--because the higher you go, the more psychopaths you find, the bigger you get, the more primate the behavior sets--these two anthropologic dimensions have to be countered else they overpower all else and turn it into mere excuse and patina (like econ as patina for MBA greeds)
6) managing self---no one wants to be led by people un-leading their own selves---managing your self is the biggest impact single thing you can do every hour-day-week; there are 128 basic managing self dynamics including the Despair Doorway to personal change--if you do not know them, you are operating at less than 1% of your potential
7) technology management---the amount of technology in products and systems is exponentially growing, the amount of the workforce doing technology work is exponentially growing and these trends increase now and probably for a long long time--but we generate MBAs and leaders who are totally ignorant of technology and do it very very badly---the spend decades foisting econ as BETTER than technology concerns because they LACK technical competence---this RUINS firms and is EASY to fix
8) measure in total quality ways the quality of your delivery of the 64 basic leadership functions to every employee and group----this ALONE is enough to propel you in months beyond all competition
9) turn leaders, MBAs, engineers, designers into FULL HUMAN BEINGS---via adding the humanities and arts that allow emotion noticing and management and the social sciences that allow social noticing and management to barbaric products of MBA, engineer, and design colleges.
10) going out requires going in, going global requires managing interior cultures our "initial factory settings" and the other guy's "initial factory settings".
THIS is one scratch in the surface of my McGill like undoing of the harm of usual engineering and MBA programs.
