This tutorial is designed for beginners and for anyone who wants to create a quick and simple metal type material.

In part 2 of the tutorial the shininess and reflective properties of the material are set. The diffuse and specular are changed to gold type material.

Key Points
Specular colour (highlight colour) is white by default which is suitable for grey metals but should be pale yellow (sampled) for gold.
Increasing the specular intensity setting to 1 make the highlight spot brighter and gives a higher contrast.
Decreasing the specular hardness setting to a value of 10 increases the size of the highlight spot.
Turning mirror on and setting a reflectivity value of 0.5 make the metal reflect other objects.
Changing the background to a warm colour makes gold object look better.
