Mary J blige sounded so good here... raspy and rich. She definitely has an ol school soul/gospel tone that sounds perfect on this song.

Mary J. Blige has never sounded better. I wish she would do more songs like these. I absolutely loved Dorothy Moore's version but Mary and Monica did such an excellent job I'm sure Dorothy herself would be very impressed.

Respect to the original Dorothy Moore! Much love and resect to the Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige and Much Love and respect the Beautiful Soulful Queen Monica Brown. To give a their own rendition of this classic is showing pure artistry! A duet is NEVER to out shine the other singer, I duet is a collaboration to show and compliment each other. So why people would compare these two I don't know. I think they both did an awesome job. Artistry and camaraderie amongst to queens in the industry! I love it!

Slayonica ate this up! Damn she pretty af! Its like her & pharell dont age a bit! I cannot believe her 20th yr anniversary in the game is approaching! They gotta do some for her! The best alto in the game since Gladys Knight! Teammonica!
Why do people constantly feel the need to compare artists... especially two artists that are so entirely different? Monica is an amazing vocalist. Mary is a soulful performer. There isn't and should never be any comparison. And while others are bitterly comparing the two, surely they are still sharing laughs and embracing one another just as the did at the end of this video. BTW... For the record, Mary J. was already telling of her PAST struggles during this time. She has fallen in love now and has a new joy to sing about. Perhaps that is the reason some may feel she sounds better now.
