Dr Deyrick Dean presents a webinar on the use of the Bio-Plex® suspension array system, which provides an integrated open platform for xMAP technology, a fluorescent bead--based multiplex assay technology developed by Luminex Corporation. Dr. Dean describes how the Bio-Plex system can be used to simultaneously quantify up to 100 different proteins, peptides, and DNA or RNA fragments from a single sample, with sample volumes as low as 50 µl, in a 96-well format.

The capabilities of the Bio-Plex system allow researchers to conserve precious samples, reduce assay expense and labor, and dramatically increase the amount of data obtained from a single sample. This technology enables scientists to generate more information on the relationships among analytes in a given biological system, with better correlation with in vivo assays.
