Dr. Darrell G. Kirch, president and CEO of the Association of American Medical Colleges, spent three days at USF Health as part of a nationwide tour of all medical schools in the United States. While visiting the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, he met with students in the SELECT MD program and toured the Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS). Dr. Kirch was impressed by the spirit of innovation and praised USF Health's commitment to a 'new excellence' needed for healthcare reform. He believes USF Health is already on the right path to change with projects like SELECT and CAMLS.
