"In my mind you're still standing. In my eyes you gleam and shine. In my mind you will be standing for all time."
Laura De Leon was in Manhattan the day The World Trade Center was attacked. She witnessed the plane flying into the 2nd Tower and watched as it crumbled before her eyes. When she was finally able to return home to California she was in a state of terror over what she had witnessed and could not function normally for many weeks. After a loving intervention of a friend who said: "You are an artist...artists document. Heal through your art." she wrote and recorded the song 'Still Standing'. Since than she had not been able to hear it played for fear of going too deep into the pain and sorrow again.
But a few days ago before the 10 Year Anniversary of the Attack she played the song for her friend Ken. He was so effected by the song that he created this beautiful video. He wanted the world to hear what he heard and feel what he felt when listening to the song.
We hope that it's beauty and truth can bring healing to those who are still in pain. Laura is here to spread love and this song shows her heart clearly. Namaste
