Started at 10am on a Friday and was due the next day before 10am. Every contestant had to: 1. Include a Cake as a prop. 2. Say the line "I really wanted to..." somewhere in the movie. 3. Have the overall theme be Anniversary.
My older almost-famous sister, Jaclyn Hales, and myself, Andrew Hales, were busy most of the day and were finally able to get started on the film around 11 PM. It took us about 4 hours to brainstorm and film all the shots, and then I spent another 4 hours editing it and finally getting it on a disk and turning it in before the deadline. This was my first fictional film that I co-directed, acted, and edited. We also won the Audience-Choice Award which was determined by everyone's vote at the premier of the 30 films/groups that participated. Special Thanks to Michelle and Mike Andersen for letting us use their basement in the middle of the night, and to Tanner and Danielle Cluff for helping brainstorm ideas and operate the camera as well as letting us use their newborn baby girl, Chloe. SHARKWEEK!
