Sex appeal... studied endlessly, subject of recent documentaries, but is our attraction beyond our rational control? Are we subject to pheromones, symmetry, etc? Or are we truly in control of who we're attracted to, and who we fall in love with? Is there a reason certain celebrities are almost universally desired? The Common Room is here, taking a long hard look at what variables add up to... sexy.
What do you think? Can science truly explain why it is we're attracted to one person and not another? Is it all pheromones, compatibility of immune systems, facial symmetry, and body fat percentage? Or do we have more conscious control over those we fall for or want to have sex with? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
We'd like to thank Kim Horcher, Chelsey Bex, and Alex Sanborn for joining us!
