Josh Roe was a passenger in a car that was broad-sided by a bread truck in 2008. He suffered a traumatic brain injury that was so severe that his family feared he would never walk, talk or feed himself again. He was flown to UPMC Presbyterian and later went through extensive therapy at the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute. After the accident, he returned to school to become a diesel mechanic, and he's once again enjoying life with his 11-year-old son.
