Text by Sean Bonney

We started up The London Sprechchor in March and have been meeting once or twice a month since then. We work mainly with poetry and found text, brought it by me and the Sprechchor. Principally for this piece we have been focussing on the poetry of young British poet Sean Bonney, who writes mainly about socialism, class warfare, politics and violence.

The work shown in this video is very much a work-in-progress that we are gradually expanding into a 12-15 minute performance piece called SOCIALIST REALISM.
