Now that YouTube is done complaining about various things such as maintenance and so forth I can get this uploaded... It will be uploaded and commentated rather late, but up nonetheless. Today I start a new little game... Sunset Riders! It is an old western styled shooter game of sorts that has quite the high fun factor for completely ridiculous action~ Very few people will likely even have heard of this game whatsoever... The game was also ported to the SNES but as with any other arcade to console port it had its drastic differences. I will be covering the SNES version later on...

The game gives you four characters to choose from... Steve, Billy, Bob, and Cormano... All of them seem pretty normal right up until you hit Cormano. Standing out like a sore thumb in the most thorough of ways, he probably ends up being the most memorable character of the bunch. The arcade game furthers this point by something that happens specific to Cormano later in the game... Needless to say his choice of wardrobe colours should make it pretty clear that I will be picking him as my character of choice. XD

The characters have two different styles of weapons... Steve and Billy use pistols... These fire faster but only cover a very small area. Bob and Cormano use shotguns... Need I say more? Most people are likely to lean towards the shotguns as having more range via the spread-shot just comes in handy too often in this game to want to go with pistols in my mind...

Today's two stages sum up the gameplay quite nicely... The first stage being a regular on-foot stage while the next is a horse-back stage. I have already made quite the wall-of-text of this write-up, so I think I will leave most of my comments on the actual stages themselves to the annotations.

On a special little side-note... This was recorded at 1280x800 resolution, thus... it is safe to say that YouTube is going to offer the High Definition mode for the videos. It may seem very excessive for an old 2D game, but hey! This is the first time you can get to watch my videos in HD, hehe~ Not that I am one to care about video quality to the point of being obsessive, I just like the option of being able to watch the video on a larger screen than normal.

Enjoy!~
