The Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital challenges you to create a video that tells your story of why you love Girl Scouting and how it has impacted your life. One or more videos will be selected to be included in a council-produced video to promote SHARE (Share Her Annual Real Expenses) which raises funds to ensure that all girls, regardless of means, have the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouting.
Deadline: Submissions are due on by 11:59 PM on July 15, 2013.
Rules: -Contest is only open to registered Girl Scouts, ages 5-17, of GSCNC. -Video should include one girl telling her story about how Girl Scouting has made her life better OR video should include one girl telling her story about how her Girl Scout experience was made possible by SHARE-funded financial assistance. -You should start your video by stating your first name and how many years you've been a Girl Scout. -Maximum video length should be one minute. -You should not ask for donations in your video. -Your video should not be a skit. -By submitting a video, you are agreeing for it to be used by council to promote Girl Scouting. -To enter, establish and sign into your YouTube account (you must be 14 years of age or older) or have your parent or legal guardian establish and sign into their YouTube account, upload and post your entry as a video response to this video.
Winner(s) will be selected for inclusion in the SHARE video based on strong and compelling their story is. Council may explore the option of professionally re-shooting the winners' video once submissions are received.
