New Dislike Button Coming To Facebook

Of course everyone knows about the world-famous Facebook "Like" button and the Channel Authority Builder youtube marketing system. It makes it very easy to express your opinion about posts that are on your wall. Also, posts that get lots of shares and likes also tend to be read by more individuals. However, there isn't a way to dislike posts on Facebook. At least there hasn't been.

For years there have been many rumors that Facebook would be releasing a dislike button and people have been searching through different Channel Authority Builder review videos to find the answer as well. However, the founder of Facebook has been telling people for a long time that he didn't really like the concept and didn't think it would be valuable or helpful for a social site. He also thought that with certain groups it might backfire, particularly among teenagers, who are more vulnerable. However, he also stated that thousands of individuals had told Facebook that they thought it was a good idea to have a dislike button.

However, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO and founder of Facebook, stated that he changed his mind about adding the dislike button. He announced this in September along with the release of many Channel Authority Builder bonus packages. One thing he said the new button could be used for was to express sympathy when bad news was posted by someone, and not merely when someone disliked a story. When someone posts that they broke their leg or their cat died, liking the post isn't all that appropriate.

Zuckerberg stated that Facebook has decided to respond to the many requests for the feature and is working on getting a dislike button introduced. He didn't say when this new feature would be released. For Facebook, this appears to be a fairly revolutionary change. It could make a significant different in the way the site is used by people as well.

How Will The New Dislike Button On Facebook Impact Marketing On The Social Network?

It could get interesting for marketers who use paid advertising on Facebook for promoting their stories. It appears risky at first because users might dislike the paid promotions. If posts are helped by likes and get seen more frequently, that could mean that visibility could be reduced by dislikes. It seems obvious this could happen, however there aren't any details on it yet.

No one wants to pay good money for promoting their posts and have them receive a bunch of dislikes. That may hurt a brand. This would probably depend on what the ratio of dislikes to likes was. No one can please everyone after all. This is especially true when it comes to the Internet.

However, it could help marketers with testing their promotional strategies. It might be better to see dislikes from viewers clearly instead of getting ignored and not knowing if viewers just didn't see an advertisement. If certain types of content receives only a few likes and lots of dislikes, then that would signal that there needs to be changes made to the promotional strategy.

Of course another potentially worrisome thing is that competitors may start disliking posts. Hopefully all of this will be taken into account by Facebook before the new dislike button is released. In any event, the new feature will most likely change how advertisers and regular people use the social networking site.
