LOUISINA "GUITAR" RED, "SMOKIN" JONNIE'S BBQ, Nov,1999 *CARDELL BOYETTE* aka - LOUISINA "GUITAR" RED 09-28-1928 to 12-06-2001- The basic concept of this pilot is to show case four blues artists from LA. This pilot features some mostly unknown blues artists, not the big stars, but the people that keep the blues movement alive in small town as well as the large cites of this county. Even if there is not a decanted blues club in these smaller towns and cities, there is usually at lest one club in the airier that has a BLUES-JAM. All of the blues artists appearing in this film are the "CATS" these are people if you are a BLUES JAMER that you want to be on stage with. This short film shows either a live performance or lip sink video from each person. Each artists music sequence runs beneath there interviews which allows each of these blues artists to tell there own story in there own words. These interviews are done with a small number of questions from and interviewer that's never seen. The various interviews were done at the subject's homes or place of work. Anther thing that all of these blues artists have in common is that they all have been paid more money to play the blues out side of the USA than here at home. They also find that they are treated more like stars when performing in these foreign countries. FILMMAKER Robert E. Borge
