This was an expedition headed by Dr. Bill Gilly of Stanford and his grad student Julie Stewart. It took place out in the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary. They were studying Humboldt Squid - trying to figure out the impact of the squid on fisheries and where the squid go. Julie attached three satelite tags to some of the captured squid. Also on hand was Rob Yeomans, a marine biology teacher from Newburyport, MA
