"For a whole day afterwards my brain kept having realisation explosions, a chain reaction of revelations that lead to slowly being able to comprehend just exactly how many levels on which this piece of work is operating." - Alt Reading on Preview Performance

A focus group on Mr Kipling cakes slides into the inner world of a lonely man. Inspired by the cult US writer’s short story Mister Squishy, Focus Group* is an absurd comedy with a dark heart, exploring the loneliness and absurdity of modern life and consumer culture with humanity and humour. It is dark, unsettling and playful. And there’s a lion’s head…

Sit back, eat (individually wrapped, luxury) cake, and see a man gradually relinquish the delusion that he matters in the slightest.... And then go back to watching kitten videos on Facebook.

Created & performed by Stuart Barter, Clare Dunn & Terry O’Donovan
