A nice day on the water last week. I spent about 1 hr 30 mins fishing before I headed home due to rain. I caught some nice bass and managed to snag a nice female somehow. The ticket seemed to be shallow 1-8 foot water, fished with a XCalibur XCS100 squarebill. 4 of the six fish I caught were in 4-5 ft water along a transition area. The night before I caught three fish in a small pond using the same crankbait on topwater! I was reeling it very slow on the surface like a wakebait when they hit. Topwater in March? Who would've thought...
