On May 18, 2011, 110 World War II veterans from Wyoming traveled to Washington DC to take part in one of two annual honor flights. These flights fly veterans to DC from all over the country to see the memorials dedicated in commemoration of their service and sacrifice.
Senator Mike Enzi was on hand to visit and greet the veterans and always enjoys being able to thank the veterans personally for their service and to hear their stories.
As they toured the memorial, Wyoming veterans shared with us what the World War II memorial means to them and what message they have for our men and women currently serving overseas.
