A short clip of Margaret Lovell receiving and responding to the presentation of the Honorary Degree (Doctor of Letters) from the University of Leicester.

Renowned Bristol-born sculptor Margaret Lovell is well on her way to becoming a 'Sculpture In the Garden' veteran, having shown work in our annual sculpture exhibition in both 2010 and 2011.

Margaret's sculptures are inspired by natural forms and bring to mind wind-swept plants and stone structures. She studied at the West of England College of Art, Bristol, between 1956 and 1960, and went on to study at the Slade School of Fine Art in London from 1960 to 1962 and the Academy of Fine Art in Florence.
