On February 19-20, 1979, 18.7 inches of snow fell on Washington, D.C., according to measurements at what is now called Reagan National Airport. In the aftermath of the snowstorm, Georgetown University cancelled classes for the day and students and faculty alike frolicked in the winter wonderland of the Georgetown neighborhood. These home movies were taken on February 21, 1979, on and near Georgetown's main campus and East Campus.
